Stingray leather has a distinctive texture due to the small, hard structures known as "Placoid Scales" or "Dermal Denticles", which give it a tough, stone-like feel.
 
When tanned and polished, it is sometimes referred to as "Galuchat", a name derived from a French leather artisan of the 18th century.Once dyed and polished, stingray leather takes on a luxurious appearance, resembling a surface inlaid with gemstones or pearls. Its unique beauty and durability make it highly sought after in the luxury leather industry, including jewelry, handbags, and high-end accessories.

The general price of the stingray skin depends on its size, which is measured by the WIDTH in inches. The width is obtained by measuring horizontally just above the biggest bead in the middle of the skin.
 
Finish: "Placoid Scales" or "Dermal Denticles," which give it a tough, stone-like feel, spray-painted to reveal a central white spot, resembling a pearl.
 
Custom colors can be ordered with a minimum quantity requirement.
 
Defects: Please note that it is natural that some animals have scars on their skin, or other defects due to tanning process. Please select “Grade A” leather, for the piece with less than 10% defects on the leather. Please select “Grade B” leather, for the piece that has between 10-20% defects on the leather.
 
Care Instructions: Wipe clean with damped cloth. Keep in the dry area out of direct sunlight.  
 
Sise: Measured by the WIDTH in inches. The width is obtained by measuring horizontally just above the biggest bead in the middle of the skin. Start from 4"- 12"
